Savills have adopted a policy whereby they will make residents aware that it remains their responsibility to affect the safe evacuation of people to their demised areas. It is expected that Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP for disabled people should be prepared in advance by the property management team.
The Fire and Rescue Service must be notified immediately if these persons remain within the building.
Savills ensure all residents are fully aware of their responsibilities with regards to the provision of suitable means of escape and fire warning arrangement for disabled persons that may be visiting their property. In this respect, the Regional Facilities Manager is responsible for sending notification to all tenants of the building reminding them of these responsibilities.
Persons evacuating the building must make for the designated assembly points in order that they can be accounted for. Once clear of the evacuated location / building, able bodied people assume responsibility for their own safety.
